Driver Information

We have had numerous requests for drivers for many types of tape drives and operating systems. There are very few supplemental tape drivers available for any brand of tape drive. You either have to  purchase a back up program (They start at just $15.00.) or use the program that came with your drive or operating system. We do not E-mail or have a place for you to download software. All of the back up packages are copyrighted and that's why we can't post or E-mail them. This page is here so you don't have to spend your time sending us E-mail and waiting for a reply. If you have any questions regarding this matter just send us an E-mail. If you have questions regarding available back up software we will be happy to help.

Below are the only drivers we have available for E-mail:

Wangtek 6200 HS drive for Windows NT.

WangDAT 3400DX for NT.(From Microsoft)

 Win 98, 2000, ME, XP & NT users:
Windows 98, 2000 and NT's built in back up will support most SCSI and QIC-80 style drives. Before buying software, try testing your drive.

Win 95 users:
The built in back up is very limited and has no built in SCSI support. There is limited QIC-80 support built in. The only way to run DAT drives is to purchase after market back up software.

 

WANGTEK USER'S:
We do have some misc. software available for purchase for the QIC-02/36 series drives for DOS and Win3x only. There is no Win95 software or drivers available for the Wangtek QIC-02/36 (Please DO NOT E-mail us for Win95 drivers for the 5150EQ/PK. They do not exist. Thank-you.) Only Wangtek SCSI drives are able to run under Win95 and again there are NO drivers available. You must purchase a supplemental back up software as stated above.
